Pretty Sure It's Pride

We've never lived close to my dad's side of the family and as a result, we don't know them very well. My dad's mom died before I was born and my dad's dad passed away when I was a young teen, so I didn't get to hear a lot of stories about when my dad was little or stories about other members of his family, immediate or extended. I did however hear about Uncle Newton, my grandpa's brother. I didn't know a lot about him, just that he used to be a wrestler. I was told he was in the WWWF and I don't know if I didn't believe it, or what but I never really comprehended until I came across an article about him. Uncle Newton and his partner were 2 time Tag Team Champions. He even has his own wikipedia page! The fact that he was a Tattrie is so bizarre to me! My grandpa always seemed like a very straight lace guy and the fact that he had a brother like this is somewhat comical. I've gone back and forth trying to decipher if what I'm feeling is pride or embarrassment over this particular branch in my family tree. I have a WWWF Champion in my family...I'm pretty sure it's pride!
